Luigi Novelli's first NHRA race was in 1972. T.J. Zizzo was born in 1975.

This is the first time Novelli and Zizzo have faced each other in eliminations.

Novelli with the starting line advantage, but zizzo had the difference made up by the time they went by the Christmas tree and never trailed from there on for the win.

Novelli is drifting out of the groove and getting real close to the centerline, he keeps it in his lane.

Zizzo is skating around on the top end and he is close to the centerline, he keeps it in his lane until past the finish line. He crosses the center line between 1000 feet and 1320 so this will cost him five points.
