This is the 16th No. 1 spot for Brittany Force and she has gone on to win the race twice from the top spot. Over the last six years at this race the No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel is just 3 - 3 in the first round, and since 1970 the top qualifier in the dragster class has only won Indy six times. This is T.J. Zizzo's 14th time at Indy. Force with a slight starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. She runs the quickest pass of race day for the win. She will have lane choice over Kalitta in the next round.
