Robert Hight won this race three times and he is the defending event champion. In the 31 year history of this race John Force is the only FC driver to win in back-to-back years. Robert's win in St. Louis was his 44th and that moved him past Tony Pedregon and into 3rd place on the all-time FC win list.

Hight is 3 - 1 against Campbell in prior events.

Hight gets the holeshot, goes right down the groove with the quickest pass of the round so far and takes the win. Campbell gets about 200 feet out, strikes the tires and backs off the throttle.

Hight will have lane choice over Wilkerson in the next round.
