J.R. Todd won here in Top Fuel in 2008.

Todd is 1 - 0 against Beckman in prior events.

Todd hits the throttle, gets about 60 feet out and strikes the tires. He pedals several times, moving around all over the track and almost crossing the centerline about 700 feet out. Beckman loses traction about 300 feet out, pedals two or three times but never recovers. Beckman is able to hang on and take the win.
