His last win form the top spot was in Sonoma in 2004. Doug is 28-5 in the first round when he is #1. They leave together, but then Buff started to haze the tires and clicked it off. Kalitta was on a real good pass until right in the lights when it started to drop some cylinders. He will have lane choice over Lucas in the next round.
