Larry Dixon 0.092 | 11.596 | 78.34 Paul Romine 0.051 | 5.264 | 217.56

Romine has two wins and eight losses in the 10 times he and Dixon have run each other in NHRA Top Fuel competition. He made the quickest run of his career in the first round to beat David Baca. Romine took that record to three wins when Dixon almost drove out of his tires as he launched, with the tires smoking and shaking. He shut it down by the time he reached the 330 foot marker. Romine smoked his tires too but a quick pedal gave him what he needed to get the win and advance to a third-round face-off against Jim Head. Romine gave up lane choice in the next round.
