Collis has 18 round wins and 16 losses in his career. This is the second time he's
qualified in the number one position. His only event win came at Columbus this year. He made
it to the finals at Memphis but lost to Reggie Showers when he fouled. In seven of the 12
races he's been at before this event, Collis has fouled out seven times. Todd Doege has made
it past the first round only once in his career, at Indianapolis in 2001, when he lost to
Angelle Savoie in the second round of eliminations. Doege did not come back this weekend, so Collis had a competition single to take the win. Collis ran quick enough to earn lane choice over Showers in the next round. |
