The K&N Spring Fling Vegas event will be held on the weekend of April 10-13. Last year's inaugural event gave the west coast racers just what they were looking for as over 400 racers flocked to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this past April. Based on the popularity of the race, the change for 2014 in Vegas is all about huge purse increases for both classes. For Thursday's Warm-Up race, the Super Pro winner will take home $5,000 while the Pro winner earns $3,000. Friday through Sunday's events will feature a $10K, $20K and $10K respectively for the Super Pro winner, while Pro runs for $5K, $10K and $5K.
As for the K&N Spring Fling 20s in Bristol, here's where the real change takes place. Seipel said, "Because of how quickly this race has grown, we wanted to grow with it and make it more of an event so we decided to make the change to a true 5-Day event."
"Both Peter and I are extremely happy with the support we've received from the racing community and from our many sponsors," Seipel added. "Without either group, the K&N series of races would not have been as successful as they are. And because of this, we only feel it right to give back to the racers with the increases we've outlined."
Biondo said, "Better purses and more days of racing leads to a better value and better experience for the racers. As a racer, I know first hand that more track time and more chances at winning money is always more fun. Both Vegas and Bristol are going to be very exciting this year!"
The dates for the K&N Spring Fling 5 Day in Bristol will be May 14-18. Both events will feature the same format of awards with over $25,000 in products given away as well as a live feed on the Internet.
