MOCKSVILLE, N.C. - Racing is set to resume at Farmington Dragway on what will be the final day of Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am divisional competition for the 2013 season.
Weather will not be an issue today - it is cool and dry, with an expected high in the mid-seventies.
With about 25 cars left competition for in Race 1 and 75 for Race 2, the pace should be brisk.
Two unrelated accidents last night allowed the track to cool off and dew started to form, bringing racing to a halt before the planned 10 p.m. end time.
The order will be a bit strange, starting with Hot Rod Round 2 for Race 2, followed by the unfinished Top Sportsman Round 1 for Race 2, then the rest of the normal rotation for Race 2 (Stock, Super Rod, Quick Rod, Super Stock, Top Dragster and Top Sportsman).
Then Race 1 Round 2 will follow the normal order, followed by Race 2 Round 3.
Both races should be finished some time around noon, but this has proven to be the "race that won't end," with two prior race dates before this weekend washed out by Mother Nature and a variety of natural and race-related delays on Saturday and Sunday.
