CONCORD, N.C. --
In addition to deciding 2013 track champions, the event will be used to select the zMAX Dragway team for the NHRA bracket finals.
"We wanted to give competitors a fun and affordable way to compete for the track championship," said Christian Byrd, general manager of zMAX Dragway. "A one-day show gives everyone the opportunity to race for a Wally before points racing gets started at most area tracks."
Two classes of Junior Dragsters will also compete, and the team for the Eastern Conference Finals at Bristol Dragway will be selected. Entry for Junior Dragsters is $25.
Gates open at 9 a.m. The first time-trial will be at 11 a.m. followed by eliminations.
Tickets are just $5 for spectators and children 13 and under are admitted for free with a paying adult. Spectator gates open at 9 a.m.
Crew members are admitted for $10, and car and driver entry is $65. Early registration will be available Friday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. and registration will be available at the gate on Saturday.
