National Trail Raceway Revs Up for 2013 Season

49th Season Brings Excitement and Power to Central Ohio All Summer Long

HEBRON, Ohio -- National Trail Raceway (NTR) has released their preliminary schedule for the 49th year of racing action at the NHRA-owned quarter-mile drag strip. Starting in late March and going through early November, the 2013 schedule has something for everyone.

Highlights of the 2013 schedule include many of the great racing organizations that have become a tradition for racers and fans alike. The NOS Energy Drink Import Faceoff will make two stops at NTR in 2013, with the first kicking off the special events for the track in April. The end of May will feature a new Chevy Performance Event that will cater to the Chevrolet racer, making it the first all - Chevy event in Ohio in the last several years. The 25th anniversary of the NHRA North Central Division's JEGS Super Quick Series will be celebrated on June 15th at NTR, while the always popular Night of Thunder will return with all of its fire-breathing power on July 13th. The NHRA will make their traditional two stops to NTR with the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in mid-July and the JEGS Northern SPORTSnationals in September. The biggest MOPAR event on the planet will be back at NTR in August, as will the very special Beat the Heat World Finals for police organizations and their fight against drugs and illegal street racing. Add in the thrills of weekly racing for the local competitors and the crowning of state champions at the OHSAA State Cross Country Meet in November, and the 2013 season of NTR looks to be one of the best ever.
