Laurita's car sounded rough when he made the burnout, but Haney's car sounded even roughher and the crew tried several times to keep it running. Finally they shut it off and pushed the car away. Laurita managed to stage the car, but it did not want to run when he launched and Laurita shut it off and coasted across the stripe. He will not have lane choice against Jenkins in round two.
