Right Lane: Steve Matusek Runs 7.036/92.77, Now #13; Best prior run: 9.676/60.78, Was #13
3:40 p.m. There are more than a dozen cars trying to squeeze into eight spots on the ladder and Mike Janis is on the bump spot at 4.773.
Neither driver made a good run in the first session. Janis got it sorted out this time, but Matusek once again shook and spun with the turbocharged car.
Mike Janis' incremental times: 60ft-1.018 sec., 330ft-2.658.

Right Lane: Raymond Commisso Runs 6.732/68.22, Now #13; No Prior Run
Wolfe's car is another twin-turbo entry, from the Evolution Custom Auto shop. He inherited the bump spot when Janis vacated it.
Wolfe's car went silent at the green and Commisso shook very hard.
Left Lane: Pete Farber Runs 3.911/194.66, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.910/193.79, Was #1
Right Lane: Clint Satterfield Runs 3.944/197.45, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.925/154.03, Was #10
Two very nice runs, Farber with two very consistent runs on the books and Satterfield with a pending speed record on a career-best run.
Pete Farber's incremental times: 60ft-1.027 sec., 330ft-2.639.
Clint Satterfield's incremental times: 60ft-1.021 sec., 330ft-2.681.
Left Lane: Pat Musi Runs 3.897/192.25, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.927/192.74, Was #3
Right Lane: Tim Tindle Runs 7.313/84.08, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.965/186.61, Was #7
Satterfield's run put Todd Tutterow on the bump spot at 4.052.
Musi made his second good run of the day, good enough for the #1 spot. Tindle shook and lifted.
Left Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 3.943/198.15, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.052/192.60, Was #8
Right Lane: Mike Castellana Runs 4.605/117.14, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.915/192.63, Was #3
Tutterow got off the line cleanly and established his own claim to the speed record with a 198 mph stunner. Castellana had a good launch, but slowed in the middle of the run.
Left Lane: Jeff Naiser Runs 4.126/161.71, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.884/108.83, Was #10
aiser had a big nitrous explosion in the first session, but his crew was able to get the car turned around for this session. Tim Tindle is on the bump spot at 3.965.
Naiser's car shook and went to the left. He backpedaled, finished the run, but he's still on the outside of the field.
Left Lane: Jeffrey Cummins Jr Runs 3.942/186.79, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.563/72.28, Was #12
Cummins' run was far from perfect, but it was good enough to get him into the field, bumping Tindle. Now Adam Flamholc is on the bump spot at 3.958.
