Right Lane: Quain Stott Runs 3.918/155.92, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.757/203.12, Was #13
8:25 p.m. Chris Russo is on the bump spot at 3.868.
Scruggs had a very quick 60-foot time, a 0.877 second clocking. He stepps all the way up to third. Meanwhile, Stott had a mechanical failure and a big fireball, just past the 330-foot marker. The fire went out quickly and there's just a small patch of oil at half track.

It appeared that something broke in Millens' driveline, the car making a brief move, then slowing to a stop a little more than a car length off the line. Meanwhile, Smith made his second good run of the way, a hundredths slower than his best.
Left Lane: Tommy D'Aprile Runs 3.677/201.04, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.665/200.86, Was #7
D'Aprile made his second good run of the day, but the speed was once again well below his usual pace.

Right Lane: Mick Snyder Runs 3.609/209.85, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.598/209.95, Was #1
Snyder made his career-best ET earlier today, was unable to match it here, but he didn't miss by much. Leggett shook after a couple hundred feet.

Stanley had a rough ride, the car spinning the tires, then bucking hard when he pedaled it. Meanwhile, Stanton made a career-best run, ET and speed, and ,moved way up in the top half of the field.

Tindle rolled the beams, then spun the tires. McMahan matched the bump time, but ended up 17th on speed.

Wantye rolled through the water for the burnout, hit the throttle and the engine went silent. Since he made the burnout, he won't get another try.
Taylor launched hard, then started shaking. He pedaled once, shook again, and lifted.

Pesz made an outstanding run in the first session today, then did not run in the second. He went for the fifty, but the tires started to chatter a hundred feet out and he shut it off.
