Right Lane: Burton Auxier Runs 4.102/187.73, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.605/93.87, Was #14

Right Lane: John Vergotz Runs 4.193/181.32, Now #12; Best prior run: 8.961/59.37, Was #16
Hall carried the tires a long way, then the car started bucking violently when he tried to bring the wheels down. Vergotz moved off the bump spot nicely.
Right Lane: Doug Riesterer Runs 3.843/190.86, Now #1; Best prior run: 29.000/0.00, Was #17
Riesterer had a lucky break when his car got out of shape early because he was nowhere close to the action when Robert Patrick Jr. came sharply across his lane to hit the left wall. He got his handling problems sorted out here, went right down the groove and into the #1 spot by a thousandth over Robert Mathis.
