ST. PETERS, Mo. -- The FLOWMASTER American Drag Racing League and Roy Hill's Drag Racing School today announced a three-year agreement that will have the school conduct its driving classes on the Sundays and Mondays following ADRL national events.
"We ran several events with the ADRL last year, and they were some of the best events we attended," said school owner Roy Hill. "Kenny and his team have done a great job getting the series off the ground, and I think this partnership will produce good results for both the ADRL and Roy Hill's Drag Racing School.
"We have also built a new Outlaw Pro Mod car specifically for Pro Extreme competition, and we'll be gunning for the 2006 ADRL world championship."
The deal was negotiated by the ADRL's Brian Evans, who was recently promoted to the series' Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
"We feel this is a nice tie-in for our VIPs and corporate sponsors, who can watch our racing on Friday and Saturday, then drive themselves on Sunday," Evans said. "There is nothing quite like the thrill of actually going down the track in one of Roy's cars. The school will have the track to itself after the racing ends, so we feel it's a win-win deal for everyone involved."
In addition, any fan purchase made in ADRL's merchandise area, the Adrenaline Zone, will qualify the purchaser for a chance to win a spot in one of Hill's classes or a ride in the school's two-seat dragster.
Hill has operated Roy Hill's Drag Racing School since 1997, following his retirement as an active Pro Stock driver on both the NHRA and IHRA national tours. He has a 29-time finalist in his IHRA career, which he finished with 12 national event wins.
