NORWALK, Ohio -- Friday, January 03, 2003 5:12 PM - Over the past few weeks, Wisenberg Insurance and Risk Management, insurance agency for IHRA, has been working with Billy Williams' attorney to establish how IHRA's medical benefit will be distributed to various medical providers. Because of this, Wisenberg has not yet been able to release any funds to offset Billy William's medical expenses. While the release of December 18, 2002 indicated the money had been distributed, William's attorney requested a delay.

It is important to note that although Williams' primary insurance carrier denied the claim, IHRA and Wisenberg have been working aggressively the past four months to get them to reconsider. Wisenberg and IHRA have also succeeded in convincing IHRA's insurer, CIGNA, to pay the claim even though IHRA's policy, like all motorsports policies, would not normally respond until the primary policy paid what it owed.

"We hope to offset some of the enormous medical bills incurred by Billy," said IHRA President Bill Bader. "We realize the medical costs exceed the payment and hope Billy's primary insurance carrier will accept responsibility, agree to a settlement and relieve some of the burden."

Wisenberg will issue payment once the direction of the payment has been determined.

We apologize for any misunderstanding the previous release may have caused.
