Kalitta is 20 - 18 against Bernstein in prior events. Bernstein with the starting line advantage, but Kalitta had made up the difference by the time they went by the Christmas tree and held on for the win by 0.0177 seconds (approximately 8 feet). Kalitta will have lane choice over Millican in the semifinal.

Massey is 10 - 0 against Langdon in prior events. Langdon with the starting line advantage until around 400 feet when Massey drove around him. Langdon then started hazing the tires around 700 feet. Massey with the second quickest pass of the round for the win.
