Left Lane: Steve Gasparrelli No Time, Now #9
Right Lane: Doug Gordon Runs 5.616/256.55, Now #2
5:07 p.m. Back to qualifying.
This started really well and then almost got BAD!
Gordon was away first fortunately and had better incrementals going down the track. It's a strong pass into the new number two spot.
Gasparrelli was right behind him at the 330 lights and then the Monte Carlo made a hard move right across his lane nailing the 660 reflectors. The car continues right across the right lane and just misses tagging the wall in Gordon's lane. He gets the car quieted down and ends the drama.
Doug Gordon's incremental times: 60ft-0.935 sec., 330ft-2.480, 660ft-3.699/203.34 mph, 1,000ft-4.735.
Bartone stays number one at 5.608 and Januik is on the bump at 13.110.
