POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual O'Reilly NHRA Winternationals presented by Super Start Batteries:

Mettler's truck does a little jink at the green and he drives on down for the easy win. He'll gets a CIC hit next round.

Roubicek's new engine/trans combination isn't happy and the Camaro stops on the track at the end of the burnout. They push him back and he stages and red lights by a ton.

Hogan lifts early in the easy win.
