Left Lane: T.J. Zizzo Runs 3.893/281.25, Now #12; No Prior Run
Right Lane: J.R. Todd Runs 3.808/321.19, Now #10; No Prior Run

Apparently the race cars like these conditions because the three other
Pro categories all showed improved performance so far today.
Left Lane: Chris Karamesines Runs 4.043/254.38, Now #16; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Troy Buff Runs 3.946/301.40, Now #14; No Prior Run
Karamesines was watching Buff blink the stage bulb and left well after Buff. Buff made a full pass, Karamesines shut off early.
We now have a bump spot, Karamesines' 4.043..
Left Lane: Steven Chrisman Runs 4.070/257.24, Now #18; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.768/324.90, Now #2; No Prior Run
Both drivers made their best run of the event. Langdon went from not-qualified to #2 in less than four seconds. Chrisman's car trailed all the way and slowed on the top end.
Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.832 sec., 330ft-2.135, 660ft-3.024/285.83 mph.
Now Mike Salinas is on the bump spot at 3.947.

Right Lane: Mike Salinas Runs 3.866/307.16, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.947/303.50, Was #16
Surprisingly, Bernstein was on the outside and Salinas was in the field, but on the bump.
More surprises. Great run by Bernstein to bump into the field and a career-best ET by Salinas to stay in the field. Troy Buff came out on the short end of the shuffle and was bumped from the field.
Now Steve Torrence is on the bump spot at 3.902.
Somebody left some stuff on the track way down in the shutdown area, can't tell who from here - we are checking. Turns out the oil was from the previous pair, Chrisman's car.

Two solid runs and McMillen bumps Zizzo, replacing him on the bump spot. Torrence made his best run of the event, adding his name to the gaggle bunched at 3.79.
Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.797/322.58, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.804/321.27, Was #9
Right Lane: Cory McClenathan Runs 4.422/178.57, Now #15; Best prior run: 3.892/312.50, Was #15
Cory Mac slowed at half track. Brown added his name to the 3.79 gaggle, now there are four, and the top half of the field is in the seventies.
Left Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 3.951/300.40, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.802/323.50, Was #9
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.827/315.86, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.807/307.44, Was #12
Vandergriff was smoking the tires and moving around a lot on the top end, did not improve. Schumacher's run looked okay, but he also did not improve and has yet to make any progress on closing the points gap with Antron Brown.
Left Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 4.826/146.94, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.791/325.69, Was #5
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 5.409/127.05, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.805/326.08, Was #11
Both cars were up in smoke about 400 feet out and Massey has also failed to make a dent in Brown's points lead.
Left Lane: Khalid alBalooshi Runs 3.814/323.81, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.781/324.20, Was #3
Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.896/298.67, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.804/320.66, Was #10
Two solid runs here, but neither driver improved. Millican's car left some oil on the track, in the shutdown area.
