The winner gets the bye run to the finals.

Aines has engine problems at the end of the burnout and rolls to a stop on the track near the 1000 foot lights.

Veahy is shut off, to allow the car too be pulled off the track safely. He restarts the engine, stages, and takes the green for the win.
