Pro Extreme Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #1
By Larry Sullivan

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Extreme Motorcycle at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL World Finals VIII presented by CarSafe listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Charles Seaton No Time, Now #1

1:30 p.m. Seaton had the front wheel in the air and the bike went to the right, crossing the centerline past the halfway point.

Left Lane: Blaine Hale No Time, Now #2
Right Lane: C.D. Watson Runs 7.199/92.98, Now #1

Last time I checked, there were at least 12 motorcycles here this weekend, so they will race on a sixteen-bike ladder.

Hale appeared to break a chain, the bike barely moving, then the engine freewheeling. Watson had problems of his pwn, off the throttle early in the run.

Left Lane: Shane Eperjesi Runs 4.172/169.76, Now #1
Right Lane: Monte Campbell Runs 4.189/164.31, Now #2

Good runs in both lanes, but the track crew went to work in Campbell's lane after the run, picking stuff out of the traction compound.

Left Lane: Charlie Prophit No Time, Now #7
Right Lane: Jeff House Runs 5.570/84.38, Now #3

Prophit rolled the beams, then his bike was smoking, shutting off with a big BANG. House slowed early in his run.

Left Lane: TT Jones Runs 4.252/162.94, Now #3
Right Lane: Chuck Wilburn Runs 4.701/114.51, Now #4

Looked like a full pass for Jones. Wilburn slowed about halfway through the run.

Left Lane: Casey Stemper Runs 5.911/78.97, Now #6
Right Lane: Derrick Holloway Runs 18.658/214.21, Now #8

Oh-for-two. Stemper gfot about to half track and there was a big flash of flame from the engine. He pulled over next to the wall and coasted through. Holloway appeared to "fry the clutch" on his launch. rolled to a stop just past the finish line.

Left Lane: Eric McKinney Runs 4.086/174.66, Now #1
Right Lane: Dave Norris Runs 4.098/172.74, Now #2

McKinney clinched the championship at Norwalk and he went to #1 here "with air to spare." Norris also made a stout run, he's #2.

Eric McKinney's incremental times: 60ft-1.044 sec., 330ft-2.698.
Dave Norris' incremental times: 60ft-1.039 sec., 330ft-2.699.
