Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Final Session

MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 28th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Lewis Worden Runs 17.845/35.72, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.681/207.05, Was #17
Right Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 6.819/203.55, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.785/202.67, Was #18

Weather conditions: air temperature 68 degrees, relative humidity 58 percent, barometer 29.29 inches, adjusted altitude 1,919 feet, track temperature 78 degrees.

Worden shook hard right at the hit and pushed in the clutch by 100 feet. No help here for Gaydosh and he will not get into the show.

Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.621/209.36, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.673/208.68, Was #16
Right Lane: Frank Gugliotta Runs 6.596/208.14, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.629/208.68, Was #15

Gugliotta with a great pass as he runs his career best E.T. to move up the ladder a couple spots. Frank Gugliotta's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.241/166.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.519. johnson with his quickest pass of the weekend to get off the bump spot. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.000 sec., 330ft-2.783, 660ft-4.269/165.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.546.

Left Lane: Shane Gray Runs 15.035/55.91, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.623/208.49, Was #16
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.574/209.59, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.609/208.30, Was #14

Gray shook right at the hit and clicked it off. Morgan with his quickest pass this weekend to move into the number one spot. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.224/166.42 mph, 1,000ft-5.499.

Left Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.539/211.76, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.584/210.83, Was #11
Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.605/210.11, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.595/210.05, Was #13

No help here for Johnson, but still a nice pass. Connolly launched hard and keep it stuck all the way down the track to go to the number one spot. Dave Connolly's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.212/168.14 mph, 1,000ft-5.475.

Right Lane: Ronnie Humphrey Runs 6.562/210.77, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.590/210.34, Was #12

These two with their quickest passes of the weekend to move up the ladder. Ron Krisher's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.224/167.09 mph, 1,000ft-5.494.
Ronnie Humphrey's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.224/167.47 mph, 1,000ft-5.494.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.544/198.99, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.569/200.38, Was #8
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.552/210.37, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.579/210.24, Was #12

Anderson with the quickest pass of the round with a great pass as he clicked it off early again. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.728, 660ft-4.193/168.30 mph, 1,000ft-5.454. Coughlin with his quickest pass of the weekend to get into the top half of the show. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.737, 660ft-4.211/167.16 mph, 1,000ft-5.482.

Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.538/211.39, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.560/211.00, Was #7
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.561/211.79, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.575/210.73, Was #12

Enders with her quickest pass of the weekend to go to the number one spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.737, 660ft-4.207/167.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.473. Nobile with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number 11 spot. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.759, 660ft-4.233/167.12 mph, 1,000ft-5.500. Another good pass here for Johnson, but he will not improve. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.223/167.68 mph, 1,000ft-5.489.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.553/211.00, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.544/209.36, Was #3
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.515/212.36, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.553/211.43, Was #7

Gaines with another good pass, but he will not improve and Line takes the number one spot away from him. Line with a great looking pass...Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.731, 660ft-4.194/168.22 mph, 1,000ft-5.455. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.221/167.36 mph, 1,000ft-5.487. This is the 31st time Line has been number one qualifier and seventh this season.
