By Larry Sullivan

NORWALK, Ohio - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Extreme at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags VI presented by Mickey Thompson:

 Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
6 Jason Scruggs 91 Dan Millen
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.043 3.613 209.75 0.039 3.676 204.79
 Prior rounds:
E1 (Q Stott ) 0.065 3.623 209.23 (T Leggett ) 0.052 3.692 205.47
 Qualified: #3 3.614 209.56 #6 3.656 207.05
6:37 p.m. Millen left first, trailed at the 60-foot marker and steadily lost ground. Jason Scruggs' MOV: 0.0590 seconds (approximately 18 feet). There was a thin trail of oil in Millen's lane, so the tire-squealing tractor was called into play once again.

6345 Clint Thompson 217 Tim Tindle
E2 0.056 3.728 203.74 ****WINNER**** 0.035 3.655 209.49

Thompson ran another career-best ET here, but in a losing effort because Tindle just keeps on grinding out three-sixties. However, his sixty wasn't quick enough to get lane choice against Scruggs in the semifinals.

 Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
3 Mick Snyder 7 Alex Hossler
E2 0.028 6.550 67.81 ****WINNER**** 0.029 3.719 206.64

 Qualified: #1 3.598 209.95 #8 3.663 206.45
Snyder's car was on rails until this run. They left together, then Snyder's car went into a "tank-slapper" and he had to lift.

38 Neal Wantye 4 Frankie Taylor
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.035 4.004 158.30 0.177 No Time
 Prior rounds:
E1 (B Stanton ) 0.010 3.669 207.78 (V Smith ) 0.024 3.625 209.36
 Qualified: #12 3.702 207.05 #4 3.620 209.56
Wantye got here with a career-best run in round one, but he will probably need another to have a chance against Taylor.

This was strange, Wantye left so far in advance of Taylor that it looked like a red light, then Taylor's car rolled to a stop, the engine silent. Wantye flirted with the wall on the top end, but stayed off the concrete for the win. He will not have lane choice when he faces Hossler in the semifinals.
