Pro Nitrous Qualifying Notes, Session #3

NORWALK, Ohio - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Nitrous at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags VI presented by Mickey Thompson listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Ray Schuler Runs 4.047/181.84, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.057/181.96, Was #9
Right Lane: Steve Vick Runs 4.129/182.43, Now #12; Best prior run: 4.593/128.62, Was #14

Vick made a huge improvement, Schuler not so much.

Left Lane: John Vergotz Runs 5.215/116.48, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.193/181.32, Was #14
Right Lane: John Camp Runs 5.211/167.78, Now #13; Best prior run: 4.169/178.40, Was #13

Both drivers had lots of shake problems, but Camp kept getting after it and got the big speed.

Left Lane: Randy Weatherford Runs 5.794/84.59, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.959/189.87, Was #7
Right Lane: Pat Stoken Runs 3.836/197.62, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.282/73.52, Was #17

Stoken went from first-alternate to #1 on a very nice run, straight and smooth. EWeatherford launched, shook, and lifted.

Left Lane: Burton Auxier Runs 6.743/92.14, Now #12; Best prior run: 4.102/187.73, Was #12
Right Lane: Jason Harris Runs 5.756/90.87, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.876/191.13, Was #6

Shake.

Left Lane: Jim Laurita Runs 3.850/185.08, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.969/189.23, Was #9
Right Lane: Tommy Franklin Runs 3.972/185.49, Now #10; Best prior run: 4.083/183.22, Was #11

Laurita improves and moves to the top half. Franklin makes a career-best run and also runs in the threes. That bumped Keith Jackson.

Now John Hall is on the bump spot at 4.983.

Left Lane: Keith Jackson Runs 6.457/108.66, Now #17; Best prior run: 5.727/112.98, Was #17
Right Lane: John Hall Runs 3.954/188.25, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.983/102.70, Was #16

Jackson launched, shook and slowed. Hall stepped up nicely to get well away from the bump spot.

Now John Vergotz is on the bump spot at 4.193.

Left Lane: Robert Mathis Runs 9.439/45.71, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.844/197.31, Was #3
Right Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 7.241/62.67, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.937/183.89, Was #8

Both cars got way up on the tires and both slowed almost immediately.

Left Lane: Stan Allen Runs 5.855/80.92, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.871/192.88, Was #6
Right Lane: Bob Rahaim Runs 8.825/49.12, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.844/195.56, Was #4

Both launched hard, then shook and slowed.
