JOLIET, Ill. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, North Central Division, Burndown at Sundown:

Noakes with the starting line advantage and never trailed as they both cars went silent around half track.

Foster with the starting line advantage and never trailed as Harvanek shook right at the hit and then made a move toward the centerline finally collecting the centerline cones. Foster will have lane choice over Noakes in the semifinal.

Simonton with a slight starting line advantage, but Drew had the little difference made up by the time they went by the Christmas tree. Ray Drew's MOV: 0.0466 seconds (approximately 17 feet). Simonton slowed from her qualifying time and Drew made his quickest pass of the weekend.
