Round 1
W..Kaiser....0.497...6.206..206.64
L..Hutchison.0.531...6.624..170.74

A good race to start at 5:00. Kaiser out first and kept ahead to the end.
W..Murphy....0.574...5.916..247.06
L..Haight....0.526...9.081..94.39

Haight straps 0.05 on the top qualifier but has no chance against a new low ET and top speed.

W..Dunlap....0.562...6.023..234.25
L..Jennings..0.902...6.023..240.56

Jennings was the wayest of way lates. Quicker to at least one interval on the track and identical ET as Dunlap but a distant second at the stripe.

W..Schutz....0.486...6.191..223.98
L..Murry.....0.828...6.313..216.31

Murry also was seriously tardy but was also unable to keep pace with the Shooter. Schutz offed a motor and would not return.

Round 2
W..Dunlap....0.573...5.949..238.20
L..Kaiser....0.523...6.114..232.82

Dunlap finds the fives but explodes big time in the lights. The car slid sideways and finally tipped over very gently without ever touching a guardrail. The oil was everywhere and we were down for 40 minutes to clean up. (It didn't help that there was absolutely no wind so the dust cloud from the cleanup just sat over the top end.)

W..Murphy....0.517...6.033..205.81
L..Jennings..0.581...6.593..230.18

Jennings was back on the break rule for Schutz. He tried but Murphy was still too strong, shutting off early and still running 6.03.

Final
W..Murphy....0.507...5.832..239.98
L..Dunlap....0.578...5.813..245.40

10:45pm. After a huge thrash to get the car back together and not even time to fire the motor in the pits, Dunlap returns for the final against the killer OSH team and Murphy. Both teams did something right as the numbers show. A great way to end the 34th Governor's Cup!.

Pro Mod Main Round 1
