CLERMONT, Ind. -- Chris Rivas is looking forward to a week of working in his motorcycle shop in Fresno, Calif. That way he can think about something other than riding the G2 Motorsports Drag Specialties S&S Cycle V-Twin Pro Stock Motorcycle. Rivas left O'Reilly Raceway Park Monday vowing to forget his first-round foul start that was two-thousandths of a second too soon and concentrate on getting back on the right track when NHRA's Countdown to 1 championship segment begins at Charlotte, Sept. 12-14. "I was comfortable and ready to go," he said of his start against Matt Guidera. "He had a .010 (second start) but I was on the wrong side of the green light. It is frustrating and I'm not sure what to do at this point, but I will be looking for answers." Rivas finished fifth with 697 points in the 18-race regular season, but those points will change going into the Carolina Nationals.
