ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. -- Two-thousandths of a second separated Justin Humphreys from a coveted first-round win Sunday in the Lucas Oil SuperNationals at Raceway Park . . . and the race against Larry Morgan was as close as the deciding margin indicates. Humphreys' RaceRedi Dodge left the line one-thousandth of a second after Morgan, who got the win light another thousandth ahead of his rival with a time of 6.653 seconds to a 6.654. The time was Humphreys' second-quickest of the weekend. "It was a great race," said Humphreys, "and we knew it would be. We ran within three-thousandths of each other during qualifying and had the same qualifying time (6.627 seconds). We had three different lead changes in the quarter-mile. We didn't know who won. It was about as close as you can get. "We are starting to get this Dodge figured out. Now we are looking forward to going to Norwalk (Ohio, site of the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals, June 27-29)." Humphreys is now 12th in POWERade Series with 391 points. Only seven races remain before the top 10 drivers continue in the Countdown to One championship chase.
