EDMONTON, Alb. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Torco Race Fuels Pro Modified at the 2005 Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, Third Annual Western RV Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by TORCO Race Fuels:

DiStefano sawed the tree down and then Radford went into severe shake and had to give up on the chase.

Hogenson almost pulled off the upset with a big holeshot, but Stott ran him down in the lights. Quain Stott's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.054), 330 ft(-0.059), 660ft(-0.034), 1,000ft(-0.005). MOV: 0.0329 seconds (approximately 10 feet).

Unbelievable - Spiering's car made a big move out toward the wall and then almost crossed the centerline when he yanked it back and he still held off Castellana for the win. Carl Spiering's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.002), 330 ft(0.032), 660ft(0.017), 1,000ft(0.007). MOV: 0.0061 seconds (approximately 2 feet). Not only that, Spiering has lane choice against Stott in the semifinals.
