5:10 p.m. Patrick was position to take the points lead away from Steve Spiess with a win here, but Kirk was hungry for his first win since 1995, the Darlington Winter Nationals. Kirk had a huge holeshot, but his car was all over the lane while Patrick was charging down lane, running the only "forty" of the weekend.
