Sunoco Announces Contingency Program for IHRA Racers
Courtesy of Jeff Burk

Sunoco Race Fuels has supported IHRA racers and programs for years as an official contingency sponsor. Current IHRA policy prohibits more than one race fuel manufacturer from officially posting contingency and since Sunoco is no longer the "official" fuel of the IHRA, the sanctioning body won't allow Sunoco to pay racers for getting to the final round.

Sunoco's William Corwin felt he had to continue to support his loyal customers that race and win at IHRA National Events.

"Our company has a lot of loyal IHRA racers who continue to use our products and win," Corwin said. "I felt we had an obligation to continue supporting them, so we have put an in-house contingency program together for them to show our appreciation for their continued loyalty."

Sunoco will match the contingency payout for winner and runner-up from the official IHRA fuel sponsor plus a $50 bonus at IHRA National Events ONLY! The racers must furnish Sunoco with a winners circle photo of their car with appropriate Sunoco signage. Social Security number or Tax ID are also required.
