Left Lane: Frank Gugliotta Runs 6.690/203.98, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: John Bartunek Runs 6.638/207.94, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.631/208.09, Was #9
6:08 PM Gugliotta made a very slow pass in the first round and bypassed the scales. Nice run here to get in the field, but that time probably won't hold up. Bartunek is consistent, another "63"
Left Lane: Steve Spiess Runs 9.654/92.99, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.662/207.80, Was #13
Right Lane: Doug Kirk Runs 6.593/210.28, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.586/210.52, Was #2
The bump is now a 6.706, Larry O'Brien. No help in either lane, Spiess' car got very out of shape at the tree and he had to lift.
Left Lane: Wally Stroupe Runs 6.665/207.32, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.682/206.80, Was #14
Right Lane: Brian Gahm Runs 6.599/210.62, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.565/211.61, Was #1
Stroupe steps up a bit, but stays 14th. Gahm fails to improve on a pretty good run.
Left Lane: Chuck DeMory Runs 6.777/204.77, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.299/180.97, Was #18
Right Lane: Anthony Paone Runs 7.078/205.43, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.738/204.73, Was #17
DeMory's car did a sidestep on the launch. Paone left early and then spun the tires, posting a 1.388 60-foot time.
Left Lane: Larry O'Brien Runs 7.741/127.55, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.706/206.65, Was #16
Right Lane: Tim Nabors Runs 6.612/202.61, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.640/207.13, Was #11
Good run by Nabors, a 1.012 60-foot time among the quickest so far this round. O'Brien's 1.07 short time led to an off-pace 330-foot time and a slow run. He remained on the bubble.
Left Lane: Billy Huff Runs 6.727/183.18, Now #17; Best prior run: 9.517/88.67, Was #20
Right Lane: Ron Miller Runs 6.604/209.15, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.632/208.67, Was #11
Huff was close to 1,000 feet, then lost a bunch of ground. Nice run by Miller to step into the top half of the field.
