DALLAS - Pro Stock Truck Qualifying Notes, Session #3

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Truck at the 16th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:


Left Lane: Taylor Lastor Runs 7.485/180.32, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.488/180.75, Was #5
Right Lane: John Coughlin Runs 7.488/179.89, Now #6; No Prior Run

11:59 AM Lastor improves and moves into the third spot.

Left Lane: Victor Cagnazzi Runs 7.477/181.52, Now #2; Best prior run: 15.647/52.38, Was #27
Right Lane: Todd Patterson Runs 7.511/180.43, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.487/180.10, Was #4

Cagnazzi makes a good run and jumps from 27th to second. No help for Patterson and he drops a spot to fifth.

Left Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 11.928/74.62, Now #25; Best prior run: 7.582/178.35, Was #25
Right Lane: Jody Schmeisser Runs 7.621/176.99, Now #26; Best prior run: 7.592/177.30, Was #26

Yonke starts shaking the tires about 200 feet out and had to shut down. Schmeisser slows from yesterday and still isn't in the show.

Left Lane: Bart Price Runs 7.488/180.97, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.546/179.64, Was #19
Right Lane: Kim Smith Runs 7.546/178.60, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.576/178.85, Was #24

Smith runs a career best ET but it still isn't enough to get in the show. Price picks up from his earlier runs and gets in the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Craig Eaton Runs 8.135/132.41, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.555/180.43, Was #22
Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 7.596/178.32, Now #24; Best prior run: 7.561/178.64, Was #24



Left Lane: Jerry Haas Runs 7.515/179.74, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.555/179.21, Was #23
Right Lane: Scott Perin Runs 7.542/179.74, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.554/179.14, Was #21

Haas makes his best pass of the weekend and gets in at the 13th spot for now. Daniels is on the bump with a 7.517.

Left Lane: Rick Brown Runs 7.615/178.28, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.541/178.67, Was #19
Right Lane: Lou Ficco Runs 7.513/179.56, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.546/179.82, Was #21

Ficco makes a good run and gets in the 13th spot for now and puts Whisnant on the bump with a 7.517.

Left Lane: Steven Farr Runs 7.576/179.24, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.523/179.35, Was #19
Right Lane: Dale Eaton Runs 7.552/179.46, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.523/179.92, Was #18

Farr and Eaton slow from earlier runs and are still not in the show.

Left Lane: Randy Daniels Runs 7.492/180.07, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.517/179.06, Was #17
Right Lane: Mark Whisnant Runs 7.504/179.92, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.517/179.92, Was #16

Daniels steps up and gets back in at the tenth spot. Whisnant gets off the bump into the 14th spot.

Left Lane: John Lingenfelter Runs 7.458/181.15, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.491/180.75, Was #9
Right Lane: Jeff Naiser Runs 7.507/179.67, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.515/179.42, Was #17

Lingenfelter makes a great pass, setting both ends of the track record, and jumps into the pole position for now.

Left Lane: Jeff Gracia Runs 7.486/180.90, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.500/179.67, Was #12
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 7.471/181.45, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.503/181.08, Was #13

Both drivers improve and get into the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Scott Tidwell Runs 7.468/181.12, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.500/180.07, Was #13
Right Lane: Mike Coughlin Runs 7.488/180.28, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.484/179.96, Was #5

Tidwell improves and gets in the second spot. No help for Coughlin and he drops a spot to sixth.

Left Lane: Don Smith Runs 7.467/181.41, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.488/180.86, Was #11
Right Lane: Bob Panella Jr Runs 7.491/180.83, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.470/180.57, Was #3

Smith improves and jumps ahead of Panella into the second spot. That ends this session with Lingenfelter on the pole and Ficco on the bump with a 7.513.
