  14 Scott Weis 5.067 291.38 Q 11 Tony Pedregon 5.021 268.71

Weis won the Quick Light challenge in qualifying but was a little too quick here. It probably wouldn't have made much difference as Pedregon makes his best run of the weekend.

 Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-Rd-Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed
   2 Frank Pedregon 4.879 308.71 Q 10 Ron Capps 5.002 282.36

This was a great drag race. They were glued together all the way down the track as Capps got the early lead. Pedregon was charging hard at the end but couldn't make up enough ground to catch Capps. Margin of victory = 0.009 seconds (approximately 4 feet).Tony Pedregon will have lane choice over Capps and Sarver will have lane choice over Cannon in round two.
