Newberry made the burnout and when they returned to the line a problem was
found and he was forced to shut off. Bartone was told he had a single and proceeded
to roll in to deep and lighted both lights before he had the engine rpm up. He
waited after the green, which was why the light was so bad, and brought the rpm up.
The patience brings him lane choice in the final over Manzo.
