10:10 AM As the second qualifying session for the "'tater haulers" opens, Larry Perkins sits on the bubble at 7.702. First-round polesitter John Lingenfelter said his early edge on the field was the result of a lot of testing here and that the field should catch up with him with a couple more laps, especially in today's morning session. Only Randy Daniels was able to run with Lingenfelter yesterday, the rest of the field two hundredths or more behind Lingenfelter's 7.627.
