DALLAS - Pro Stock Truck Qualifying Notes, Session #1

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Truck at the 16th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:


Right Lane: Kim Smith Runs 7.659/177.83, Now #1

2:14 PM Smith starts off the first session of pro qualifying. The truck gets a little out of the groove, but gets back in for a decent run.

Left Lane: Steven Farr Runs 7.556/179.92, Now #1
Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 7.586/178.60, Now #2

Farr makes a move toward the wall right off the line but gets it straightened out to take the early pole.

Left Lane: Rick Brown Runs 7.585/178.74, Now #2
Right Lane: Jody Schmeisser Runs 7.693/176.09, Now #5

Brown gets a little out of shape early but hangs on for a decent run.

Left Lane: Jerry Haas Runs 7.555/179.21, Now #1
Right Lane: Larry Seay Runs 7.695/176.09, Now #7

Haas makes a good pass and gets in the top spot for now.

Left Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 7.582/178.35, Now #3
Right Lane: Lou Ficco Runs 9.290/103.02, Now #9

Ficco was on a decent pass until about halftrack, the truck gets loose and he has to back off.

Left Lane: Scott Tidwell Runs 7.502/180.50, Now #1
Right Lane: Dale Eaton Runs 7.559/179.64, Now #4

Good run for Tidwell as he takes the pole by .05 for now. The temp is 76 degrees right now, we probably won't see any record setting performances this round.

Left Lane: Craig Eaton Runs 7.555/180.43, Now #3
Right Lane: Mark Whisnant Runs 7.517/179.92, Now #2



Left Lane: Bart Price Runs 7.546/179.64, Now #4
Right Lane: Jeff Naiser Runs 7.520/179.64, Now #3



Left Lane: John Lingenfelter Runs 7.491/180.75, Now #1
Right Lane: Scott Perin Runs 7.556/179.03, Now #9

Lingenfelter makes a great run for the conditions and takes the pole for now. We now have a bump, Seay occupying the spot with a 7.695.

Left Lane: Don Smith Runs 7.488/180.86, Now #1
Right Lane: Mike Coughlin Runs 7.504/179.74, Now #4

Smith had a 1.064 sixty foot time, the second best of the session so far, and takes over the top spot.

Left Lane: Taylor Lastor Runs 7.488/180.75, Now #3
Right Lane: Todd Patterson Runs 7.487/180.10, Now #1

Patterson and Lastor get in putting Brown on the bump with a 7.585.

Left Lane: Jeff Gracia Runs 7.534/179.85, Now #10
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 7.509/180.86, Now #7



Left Lane: Randy Daniels Runs 7.541/179.74, Now #12
Right Lane: Bob Panella Jr Runs 7.484/180.50, Now #1

Panella only had a 1.070 sixty foot time but came on strong through the middle of the run and takes the pole for the first round.
