DALLAS - Pro Stock Truck Qualifying Notes, Session #2

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Truck at the 16th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:


Right Lane: Victor Cagnazzi Runs 15.647/52.38, Now #26; No Prior Run

5:47 PM Cagnazzi leaves the line, gets about 300 feet, starts shaking the tires and shuts down.

Left Lane: Lou Ficco Runs 7.546/179.82, Now #14; Best prior run: 9.290/103.02, Was #25
Right Lane: Rick Brown Runs 7.541/178.67, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.585/178.74, Was #20

It looks like we may see better times this round, the sun is behind the tower, shading the starting line. Both of these drivers improve and get in the show for now.

Left Lane: Jody Schmeisser Runs 7.592/177.30, Now #23; Best prior run: 7.693/176.09, Was #24
Right Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 7.650/176.02, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.582/178.35, Was #21

Yonke slows from his earlier run and still isn't in the show. Schmeisser improves but still can't get in.

Left Lane: Kim Smith Runs 7.576/178.85, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.659/177.83, Was #24
Right Lane: Steven Farr Runs 7.523/179.35, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.556/179.92, Was #18

Smith runs a season best ET and career best speed but doesn't get in. Farr improves and gets in at number eleven for now.

Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 7.561/178.64, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.586/178.60, Was #23
Right Lane: Jerry Haas Runs 7.563/178.78, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.555/179.21, Was #18

McGaha makes a decent pass, a career best, but it's not enough to get in the show.

Left Lane: Dale Eaton Runs 7.523/179.92, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.559/179.64, Was #20
Right Lane: Craig Eaton Runs 7.566/179.60, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.555/180.43, Was #17

Dale Eaton improves and gets into the field at the eleventh spot for now. No help for Craig.

Left Lane: Scott Perin Runs 7.554/179.14, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.556/179.03, Was #20
Right Lane: Bart Price Runs 7.584/179.56, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.546/179.64, Was #17

Perin improves slightly but not enough to get in.

Left Lane: Jeff Naiser Runs 7.515/179.42, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.520/179.64, Was #10
Right Lane: Randy Daniels Runs 7.517/179.06, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.541/179.74, Was #14

Daniels improves and moves up three spots to eleventh. Naiser moves up a spot to ninth.

Left Lane: Mark Whisnant Runs 7.520/180.54, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.517/179.92, Was #10
Right Lane: Jeff Gracia Runs 7.500/179.67, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.534/179.85, Was #14

Gracia improves and gets in the top half of the field. Ficco is on the bump with a 7.546.

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 7.503/181.08, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.509/180.86, Was #9
Right Lane: Scott Tidwell Runs 7.500/180.07, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.502/180.50, Was #7



Left Lane: Mike Coughlin Runs 7.484/179.96, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.504/179.74, Was #9
Right Lane: John Lingenfelter Runs 7.507/180.25, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.491/180.75, Was #5

Coughlin makes a big jump into the second spot for now. Lingenfelter slows from his earlier run and drops back a spot.

Left Lane: Todd Patterson Runs 12.370/70.18, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.487/180.10, Was #3
Right Lane: Taylor Lastor No Time, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.488/180.75, Was #5

Lastor breaks after the burnout and has to be pushed off the track. Patterson shook the tires about 200 feet out and shut down.

Left Lane: Bob Panella Jr Runs 7.470/180.57, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.484/180.50, Was #1
Right Lane: Don Smith Runs 7.492/180.07, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.488/180.86, Was #4

Panella improves and sets the track ET record. Smith slows and stays in the fourth spot.
