CORDOVA, Ill. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Sunoco Race Fuels Pro Stock at the 21st annual Amalie Motor Oil Summer Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Mike Delangro Runs 7.228/193.35, Now #2
Right Lane: Mark Hay Runs 6.820/204.23, Now #1

The temperature is 78 degrees, humidity is 47% and the barometer is 29.68 inches.

Left Lane: Tim Nabors Runs 6.923/201.55, Now #3
Right Lane: Carl Baker Runs 6.807/204.88, Now #1

Ford vs. Chevy, number nine and ten in IHRA points. Nabors shook a little around half track.

Left Lane: Chuck Demory Runs 6.901/200.35, Now #4
Right Lane: David Jenkins Runs 6.887/203.58, Now #3

Jenkin struck the tires hard right off the starting line. Demory made a move toward the centerline around the 330-foot mark.

Left Lane: Tom Lee Runs 6.736/205.76, Now #1
Right Lane: Gene Wilson Runs 6.820/203.95, Now #4

Lee continues with his strong performance in the new ride.

Left Lane: Floyd Cheek Runs 6.856/204.08, Now #5

The IHRA tech officials are taking gas samples in the staging lanes.

Yoak and Collins with a couple good looking runs, Yoak with the top speed so far.

Left Lane: Ed Machacek Runs 6.887/202.15, Now #12
Right Lane: Stewart Evans Runs 6.781/204.94, Now #4

Good looking pass for Spiess, Machacek had tire spin right off the starting line.

Left Lane: Dwayne Rice Runs 6.783/204.76, Now #5
Right Lane: Wally Stroupe Runs 6.889/203.12, Now #14

Left Lane: Ron Miller Runs 6.745/205.85, Now #2
Right Lane: John Montecalvo Runs 6.750/206.42, Now #3

That was a drag race as these two slide in behind Tom Lee.

Left Lane: Charlie Peppers Runs 6.932/201.16, Now #21
Right Lane: Rocky Watford Runs 7.551/139.41, Now #23

Watford had a little wiggle around half track and he lifted.
