FMDRS 3-6 - Final FMD Qualifying Delayed Until Tomorrow
By Dave Gerard

INDIANAPOLIS - FMDRS 3-6 Federal Mogul Drag Racing Series

It's now 5:00PM and it's still continuing to come down.

Jay Hullinger, Division 3 Director, just completed a good meeting with the Federal-Mogul Dragster representatives from each team. As six cars had completed their second qualifying runs and one car had already been bumped from the field, it was agreed that as soon as possible tomorrow morning a "cleanup" session will be held.

The two dragsters that haven't made a run yet will be running first and then the slowest to quickest qualifiers will run in pairs, up to the number nine spot. If no one has bumped into the 5.733 field, the top eight will go back and get ready for their first round. If one of these F-M Dragster's bumps into the field, then any of the top 8 has the choice to run to bump back in or improve their positions.

The rest of the classes will start eliminations tomorrow morning, as planned. After early morning showers, the weather is supposed to improve dramatically by 10 to 11 AM.

Please check back early tomorrow, as we will start eliminations as soon as it is safe to do so.
