The 42nd annual K & N Filters Winternationals will be held Feb. 7-10, at historic Pomona Raceway, in Pomona, Calif. The $2 million race, which will be televised by the ESPN network, is the season-opener for the 23-event NHRA Drag Racing Series for 2002.

"We're very excited to put K & N Filters' name on this historically significant NHRA event," said Nate Shelton, president and chief marketing officer for K & N Engineering. "This is a tremendous opportunity for us to take our relationship with the NHRA to the next level. Being NHRA's first race of the year, there's always great excitement surrounding the event. "They have continued to show their support for NHRA Drag Racing through their sponsorship of drivers in a variety of categories, from Top Fuel to Pro Stock Motorcycle. With the great support provided by K & N Filters for this event, we're confident that the K & N Filters Winternationals will continue its status as one of the most anticipated motorsports events in the industry."
