BAYTOWN, Texas - Special awards from the Third annual Matco Tools Super NAtionals.

Best Appearing Car - Tom Robinson dragster, Super Comp entry. Drivers: Todd Robinson, Corpus Christi, Texas.

Best Appearing Crew - Wix Filters dragster, Top Fuel entry. Driver: Bruce Litton, Indianapolis.

Best Engineered - The Cat is Back `99 Mercury Cougar, GT/KA Super Stock entry. Driver: Glen Tinsley, Pearland, Texas.

Winston No Bull Challenge (The Winston No Bull Challenge is worth $100,000 to Top Fuel and Funny Car competitors; $50,000 to Pro Stock competitors; and $25,000 to Pro Stock Motorcycle competitors. Contestants are determined through lottery-style pre-race drawings) -- No winners at this event.

BIG BUD Shootout At Pomona Award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel) - Mike Dunn, Wrightsville, Pa., Team Mopar Dragster, 4.561 seconds, 319.60 mph.

BIG BUD Shootout At Indy Award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Funny Car) - John Force, Yorba Linda, Calif., Castrol GTX Ford Mustang, 4.811 seconds, 321.12 mph.

Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel Award ($3,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock) - Bruce Allen, Arlington, Texas, Outlaw Fuel Additives Pontiac Firebird, 6.839 seconds, 199.64 mph.

Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel Award ($1,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle) - Matt Hines, Trinidad, Colo., Eagle One Suzuki GSXR, 7.179 seconds, 186.10 mph.

Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel Award ($1,500 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock Truck) - Did not compete at this event.

Sears Craftsman Crew Chief Of The Race Awards ($1,000 to the Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock crew chiefs of the race) - Alan Johnson for Gary Scelzi's Team Winston dragster; Austin Coil/Bernie Fedderly/John Medlin for John Force's Castrol GTX Ford Mustang; and Tom Kling for Tom Martino's Century 21 Pontiac Firebird in Pro Stock.

Auto Ventshade `Cool Stuff' Move of the Race ($2,500 bonus available for the driver who performs the coolest under pressure) - Gary Scelzi driver of the Team Winston Top Fuel dragster for setting the national e.t. record while defeating points leader Tony Schumacher in the semi-finals.

Speed-Pro 200 MPH Pro Stock Club ($1,000 bonus available for Pro Stock drivers who post a speed of 200 mph. One of 16 spots remain in the program) - Vieri Gaines, Lakewood, Colo., Western Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro, 200.05mph.

Estimated four-day attendance: 87,400 (Fall event record.)
