TOPEKA, Kan. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Truck at the 11th annual Advance Auto Parts Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Rick Jones Runs 7.719/175.07, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.711/174.87, Was #17
Right Lane: Bart Price Runs 7.735/172.61, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.711/174.28, Was #18

5:37 PM and the trucks pull up to the line for their final round of qualifying, Both of these drivers need to step it up if they want to race tomorrow. ...and neither driver is able to do so.

Left Lane: Kim Smith Runs 7.689/174.37, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.664/174.39, Was #6
Right Lane: Jeff Lukovich No Time, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.728/173.18, Was #22

Lukovich broke after the burnout and had to be pushed off the line. He'll be putting the truck on the trailer tonight.

Left Lane: Dave McConnell Runs 7.760/172.10, Now #28; Best prior run: 7.793/172.56, Was #29
Right Lane: Mike Coughlin Runs 7.694/173.67, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.676/174.35, Was #12

McConnel moves up a little, but not nearly enough.

Left Lane: John Coughlin Runs 7.662/174.80, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.667/175.48, Was #8
Right Lane: Bo Nickens Runs 7.834/171.27, Now #23; Best prior run: 7.730/173.96, Was #23

Coughlin moves up, Nickens goes home.

Left Lane: Don Smith Runs 7.777/172.87, Now #29; Best prior run: 7.803/172.54, Was #30
Right Lane: Brian Self Runs 7.667/174.28, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.627/175.71, Was #4

Self looked strong here, a pretty pass.

Left Lane: Chip Ippolito Runs 16.142/50.64, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.703/174.28, Was #16
Right Lane: John Lingenfelte Runs 7.688/174.08, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.669/175.11, Was #9

Ippolito is off the throttle at 100', and clings to the bump spot.

Left Lane: Brad Jeter Runs 7.623/175.82, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.621/176.07, Was #2
Right Lane: Scott Perin Runs 7.676/174.30, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.627/176.77, Was #3

Jeter is very consistant this weekend.

Left Lane: Scott Tidwell Runs 7.729/172.98, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.724/172.47, Was #21
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 7.656/174.12, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.659/174.93, Was #5

No improvement for either driver.

Right Lane: Robert Freeman Runs 7.755/171.49, Now #25; Best prior run: 7.735/172.92, Was #25

Panella betters his pole winning ET.

Right Lane: Jose Maldonado Runs 10.549/82.68, Now #33; Best prior run: 7.975/169.08, Was #33

Maldonado is out of shape at 330', heading toward the wall, so he clicks it off.

Left Lane: Roy Simmons Runs 7.787/173.63, Now #31; Best prior run: 7.892/172.23, Was #32
Right Lane: Lou Ficco Runs 7.714/173.32, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.733/173.78, Was #24

Ficco carried the front wheels in the air for a good 100'.

Left Lane: Dale Eaton Runs 7.797/173.18, Now #32; Best prior run: 7.834/171.95, Was #32
Right Lane: Larry Seay Runs 7.753/174.12, Now #27; Best prior run: 7.779/174.66, Was #30

Seay is the driver that was incorrectly shown as the second Lingenfelter in the last round.

Left Lane: Craig Eaton Runs 7.672/173.85, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.690/173.29, Was #14
Right Lane: Mark Whisnant Runs 7.703/172.19, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.722/173.49, Was #20

Whisnant misses the field due to a slower speed than Ippolito.

Left Lane: David Spitzer Runs 7.684/174.03, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.675/175.16, Was #13
Right Lane: Todd Patterson Runs 7.726/173.12, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.723/173.61, Was #21

The Dodge doesn't make the show this time.

Left Lane: Joe Pigford Runs 7.719/173.63, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.757/173.14, Was #28
Right Lane: Larry Kopp Runs 7.656/174.66, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.702/173.72, Was #15

Kopp moves up quite a bit here.

Left Lane: George Supinski Runs 7.758/173.70, Now #27; Best prior run: 7.745/173.41, Was #27
Right Lane: Randy Daniels Runs 9.900/93.73, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.665/174.62, Was #10

Daniels is off the throttle early, but he's still solidly in the field for tomorrow.

Right Lane: Mark Osborne Runs 9.493/99.44, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.671/175.11, Was #12

Osborne, on a solo pass is the last driver attempting to qualify in this class today. He was off the throttle at half track, the truck nosing over. Eliminations tomorrow will find Bob Panella Jr on the pole with a 7.596 second ET and Chip Ippolito in the sixteenth position with a 7.703 second ET.
