READING - Pro Stock Bike Round 2 Eliminations

MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Stock Bike at the 17th annual Pep Boys NHRA Nationals presented by Greased Lightning:

Brown had a hard time getting out of round one when he ran out of the groove but was saved when Chris Reuter had shifter problems. This time, Berry drew the red light and Brown got the win.

Johnson ran a career best ET and earned a spot in the semifinals. Margin of victory = 0.067 seconds (approximately 18 feet).

Tonglett left the line first and stayed ahead the whole way. That means he gets to face Steve Johnson in the semifinals.

Savoie and Hines last met in the semifinal round of the Mopar Parts Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colo. Savoie won that round and went on to win in the finals. In round one here, Hines recorded a national record time of 7.092 seconds. His qualifying pass of 7.127 seconds backs up that time so unless someone else goes quicker this weekend, he'll have the national record. This time, Savoie got the hole shot on Hines and hung on to win. She'll have lane choice over Antron brown in the next round. Margin of victory = 0.013 seconds (approximately 4 feet).
