READING - Pro Stock Bike Qualifying Notes, Session #1

MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Bike at the 17th annual Pep Boys NHRA Nationals presented by Greased Lightning listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:


Left Lane: Thomas Miceli Runs 7.465/176.35, Now #1
Right Lane: Bill Vose Runs 7.473/179.56, Now #2

A couple of new riders here.

Left Lane: Don DeTurck Runs 7.898/165.62, Now #4
Right Lane: Paul Gast Runs 7.387/181.35, Now #1

Gast with a good looking pass here.

Left Lane: Reggie Cole Runs 7.758/172.08, Now #5
Right Lane: Connie Cohen Runs 7.530/167.59, Now #4



Left Lane: Chris Reuter Runs 8.546/108.00, Now #7
Right Lane: Bruce Dickson No Time, Now #8

Dickson made a quick move toward the centerline and can't reel it in and clipped the 330-foot cone.

Left Lane: Neil Jacobs Runs 7.672/142.12, Now #6
Right Lane: Dennis Mirante Runs 7.617/176.97, Now #5



Left Lane: Rob Short Runs 7.401/180.62, Now #3
Right Lane: Sam Hurwitz Runs 7.391/186.30, Now #2



Left Lane: Greg Underdahl Runs 7.369/181.45, Now #1
Right Lane: Brian DeLong Runs 7.452/181.79, Now #5

Underdahl got close to centerline around half-track, but was able top reel it in.

Left Lane: Ron Ayers Runs 7.483/176.01, Now #9
Right Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.384/187.76, Now #2



Left Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 7.310/181.06, Now #1
Right Lane: Steve Johnson No Time, Now #18

Johnson left before the tree was activated.

Left Lane: Geno Scali Runs 7.524/144.41, Now #12
Right Lane: Reggie Showers Runs 7.324/188.50, Now #2

Showers is on the "To Tell the Truth" show today.

Left Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.260/184.35, Now #1
Right Lane: GT Tonglet Runs 7.265/188.75, Now #2

A couple good looking passes here for the number one and two spots.

Left Lane: Craig Treble Runs 7.315/188.38, Now #4
Right Lane: Matt Hines Runs 7.691/142.57, Now #19

Hines with problems on the top end and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 7.251/180.14, Now #2
Right Lane: Angelle Savoie Runs 7.244/188.36, Now #1

Angelle with the quickest 60-foot time of the session and parlayed that into the number one spot.
