By Bob Orme

MORRISON, Colo. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Federal-Mogul Funny Car at the NHRA Division 5 Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series Event listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Bob Hurley Runs 7.005/203.19, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.488/186.20, Was #8

Hurley shook on the launch, and when he got it hooked up he was out of the groove near the retaining wall. He stayed on it, but it was fight all the way down the track.

Oliver's car was bouncing all the way to the half track timing cones, which he almost took out. He was very close to the centerline in the middle section of the track.

Left Lane: Steve Griboski Runs 6.330/228.38, Now #6; Best prior run: 8.148/130.27, Was #9
