Left Lane: Scott Tidwell Runs 7.504/178.52, Now #6; No Prior Run
6:38 PM The sun is going down quick here and we should see some good times. Tidwell starts off the session and makes his quickest pass ever.
Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 7.654/176.24, Now #19; Best prior run: 8.381/124.41, Was #24
A big improvement for McGaha but it's still not enough to make the field.
Left Lane: Jerry Haas Runs 7.566/178.50, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.678/177.23, Was #21

Haas improves and just gets in on the bump. No help for Brown.

Big improvement for Price as he moves all the way to the third spot. Ficco gets in and bumps out Lingenfelter.

Right Lane: Samuel Tompkins Runs 9.434/100.76, Now #24; Best prior run: 7.704/174.93, Was #24
Tompkins gets out of shape, heads for the centerline and has to back off the throttle. Coughlin improves and gets off the bump.
Left Lane: Dale Eaton Runs 7.533/180.00, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.557/179.40, Was #16
Right Lane: Larry Kopp Runs 7.640/176.30, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.663/176.53, Was #23
Eaton moves off the bump into the 13th spot. Kopp was moving around all the way down the track and can't improve enough to get in.

Whisnant gets in on the bump. Eaton has problems and has to abort the run.
