The K&N 890 Race Series presented by Casner Racing Enterprises will be making its debut at Auto
Club Dragway, Fontana, California February 3 & 4, 2018. The series was formed to give Super Comp
racers another opportunity to race in the Southern California area. West coast Super Comp
standouts Greg Boutte and Thomas Bayer will be managing the association. Bayer is the 2017 NHRA
Pacific Division Super Comp champion and "Crew Chief of the Year" award winner.
The 7-race point-series (best five counts towards the points chase) opens the weekend before the
NHRA Lucas Oil Winternationals with full events both days. Payouts are set at $1500 to win, $750
for runner-up, with payouts going back to quarterfinals, based on 32 entries. Saturday's race will
include a $60 buy-back round, time permitting.
